About the Opportunity:

This part-time role of 20 hours per week, working 4am to 8am Monday to Friday. You will be responsible for maintaining the health and appearance of public landscapes through the operation of a water truck, performing tasks like watering trees and gardens, monitoring tree and plant health, applying liquid fertiliser and conducting daily checks on equipment.

If you are successful - you will: -

  • Operate a water truck to water mapped areas within specified timeframes and standards
  • Perform hand watering, establishment watering and applying liquid fertiliser
  • Monitor the health of trees and plants being watered, reporting any damage, pest and diseases
  • Perform basic tree and plant maintenance, when necessary

About YOU:

  • Demonstrated knowledge or interest in monitoring the health of trees and plants
  • Demonstrated well developed written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work independently as well as the ability to work as part of a team with strong customer service values

You will have:

  • Certificate II in Horticulture or equivalent qualification and/or a minimum of two years relevant horticulture experience
  • Demonstrated experience in operating a water truck
  • Medium Rigid (MR) Licence
  • General Construction Industry - White Card
  • Be available for morning shifts, starting at 4.00am
